WHEN IN NUVALI

Nuvali is the largest self-sustainable Eco-friendly community in the country developed by Ayala Land. It is located at the cities of Sta. Rosa, Calamba and Cabuyao, Laguna. Nuvali has something to offer for everyone, whether you are a foodie, adrenaline-junkie or leisure traveler, you can find something fun to do here.

So let me share you what you can do here in one day :)

First, my boy friend Harold and I, arrived in Nuvali before 11 in the morning; it was one and a half hour from Pasay if you used a car. We were brave enough because we only used google map for the direction. Luckily, we were not lost. lol

The first thing we did was to check the Republic Waterpark because Harold was really excited to try Wake Boarding but it was too hot that time, we decided to try other activities first. Anyway, there were a lot of map and guard in Nuvali road that may help you where do you want to try. Just ask and listen carefully to them.

We went first to Bird Sanctuary and the Gazebo.

In the Gazebo, you can see a lot of images and facts about birds displayed around it.

The Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary is a 17-km long buffer green and forest zone that provides a haven for 60 species of birds and contains a rich variety of flora and fauna within Nuvali. We were not able to go inside because we’re worried about the car because there was no parking there and you need to register at the Evoliving Center first.

Next, we went to Solenad, where many restaurants are located, for our lunch. We tried Reyes Barbecue since we love steak.

Near the mall is the lakeside where you can do Boat Ride and Fish feeding.

Boat Riding/Water Taxi Ride (30php/head 08:00AM-05:00PM every day, minimum 6 persons, maximum 12 persons per ride) I thought we weren't able to try this one because there are a minimum number of persons but we waited for a minute then voila! They were other couple too who wanted to try this one.

We really enjoyed seeing the beauty of this 4-hectare multi-functional lake.

You can also walk or bike (60php/hour) around the area, or pick a spot from the picnic grounds for a chill afternoon with family and friends.

And also you can try fish feeding. It is one of the most popular activities here. Solenad has a large outdoor pond full of ornamental fish. Koi are omnivorous fish and help keep the lake water clean. (Fish Food costs PHP 15 per bag available at the cashier booth)

I am so happy because they are relaxing to watch. They are very cute because they clashed while feeding them. Lol

Lastly, we tried Wake Boarding at Republic Waterpark. This is the reason why we go here.

About the rates:

Cable Rates
1 hour pass – Php250
2 hour pass – Php475
4 hour pass – Php595
8 hour pass – Php995
Day & Night pass – Php1,500
Night riding pass – Php595
Private cable rent – Php8000/hour

Aside from the rate, we deposited 800php per person for the gears (life vest & helmet). This deposit is refundable. It was returned to us after we had brought back the gears at the counter at the end of our play. This deposit will become a fee in case the user damage or didn't return the gears.

The activity area has two parts, one is for the Pro wake boarders and the other one is for beginners. If you already balance and stand in the board perfectly, you can try in the pro area.

We tried only 1 hour pass since we are beginners. We luckily got to try gliding five times since they were not so many people that time unlike other people. But I think the best time to try this is on weekdays so that you can maximize your time.

By the way, before you do your turn, there is an instructor to teach you the basic and also the right positioning on riding the board. Just listen to them carefully.

About my experience, it was hard to balance and stand in the board. Nevertheless, it was really fun. I’m inlove with this sport. We promise to go back here and try the Pro area.
I'm so proud of my boy friend lol

We also try their swimming pool (140PHP per person) after the play and waited for the sunset.

So that’s it!

If you want to relax and fresh air away from the pollution in Manila, I think you should visit this one. There are more activities to try like outdoor movie date, stay at Seda Hotel and more.

BEACH BABY

Looking good with my Milly Swimsuit inspired bikini in color white from Chicmanierelove (IG)

-Molded cup
-with underwire
- 80% nylon and 20% spandex
-hook back

I don't think I've ever owned a bikini that felt like such a solid fit on my frame/body type but this one is really good for me.
I get a lot of questions about my workout routine - I have to say I am not into gym. I only do some night workout with my abs workout app. Try this one every night before you sleep.
And also I am happy exploring Boracay with a sunscreen to protect my skin. When I get back home, most of my family and friends told me that I did not get a tan skin. Special thanks to BELO SUNEXPERT FACE COVER SPF40 and BELO SUNEXPERT BODY SHIELD SPF60. Aside from the protection to the sun, it is very light and not stinky. Now, looking good, feeling great and worry-free are possible even under the summer heat.

MY BOY FRIEND'S GRADUATION GIFT

Boracay is one of the most visited destinations here in the Philippines. It is famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, sunset and great parties and activities. This time right after my graduation, I received a great graduation gift from my love and this was a trip to Boracay in 4 days. Exciting right? We were also with another couple Vince and Nadine.

Before heading there, I read on a blog about Boracay. This is what I always do before travelling to a place so that I will be aware of it and I will know one of the best things to do about the place. Boracay got a lot of exciting activities and I told myself I should try some of them.

To start with, we arrived in Kalibo Airport on the 26th of April boarded in an Air Asia Philippines. After we picked up our luggages, we were able to quickly purchase a transport going to Cacticlan Jetty port and for just 200 each pesos we were transported to the port through a van. It was about 2 hours drive and in the jetty port, going to Boracay Island via boat for just 100 each pesos (twice the original price P50 because it was late night). You must be prepared for the fees like environmental and terminal. Upon reaching to our hotel, we rode in a tricycle for just 100 pesos.

We booked for 3 nights at La Fiesta Resort, we arrived at 11 in the evening, it was very late and we went already to our room.

LA FIESTA RESORT

It was very clean and spacious for us. Good point for the beach front view and you know we don’t need a luxury hotel because we were staying a lot of our time outside.

In our first day, we tried the Island Hopping for 4 hours around Puka Beach, Crystal Cove and Crocodile Island. We enjoyed taking pictures in those islands because they were uncrowded unlike in White beach. Snorkelling with fish feeding was included. The waters are crystal clear and many colorful fishes, corals to fill your views. It would cost 600 each. Buffet lunch was also included; you will enjoy different kind of sea foods. There was also meat like barbecue and a lot of more. It was all worth it.

We also tried other activities like Helmet Diving and Parasailing in the other day.
from left: Vince, Nads, Clariss (that's me) and Harold

Helmet Diving is a nice experience to walk on the sands in 5m deep seawater. The helmet weighs quite heavy but once in the water, the weight would be lesser than a kg. You would be able to do fish feeding under the water and take some great photo shots and video by the staff (it was included in the package). For just 500 pesos each you will experience this one.
Parasailing is a great recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute. It was a great experience for me especially I am with the one I love (cheesssyy lol). We were soaring like a bird, like a plane and right on cue I looked up and realized that the chute displayed a Superman logo. AWESOME!! Isn't it? And the feeling of peacefulness in the sky made some quality time with my love. It was really super fun indeed.

We also tried the Boracay Pub Crawl. At first, this was not in our list but because the boys (Harold and Vince) found it through flyers, luckily we tried it. This was my first time ever because I am not into wild clubs and drinks. Boracay Pub Crawl is the best way to meet new people. For just 900 each pesos, you get a shirt, a baller, a shot glass, you will be going to 5 different bars/clubs, and given free shots.
some of the bars we visited

In first timer experience, this was very cool and fun. I really enjoyed the dance floor and showed up my skills lol. From time to time we go out to the beach for some group hug moments, fun games and of course more drinks. Thank you Boracay Pub Crawl for an awesome night of partying hard and for turning strangers into friends!

And also FOOOOOODSSSS, there is an amazing variety of restaurants in Boracay. From Filipino food to Chinese to Japanese to Thai to Italian to Mexican to Korean, there is definitely something that will satisfy your tastebuds. You can also find plenty of cheap food if you know where to look that will satisfy your budget.

We tried different restaurant in Boracay and this one is the best. I did not have chance to capture our food nicely because we only take it out but I assure you this one is very delicious.

And of course, I will not forget about the famous sunset in Boracay. The moment I saw the sunset the more I am awe of God’s wonderful creation. There is nothing more significant in your Boracay vacation than owning a breathtaking sunset photograph. This experience is just priceless.
And in our last day, we checked out at 12 noon but our flight was in the late evening so that we leave our luggage first to the resort staff so that we can go outside with hassle free. We went to dmall to shop some pasalubong and stayed in Starbucks until the sunset.

Overall, it was a great experience again with the one I love and with my friends too. I hope I will have the chance to go back again. Time flies really fast while you are enjoying. I feel so blessed with my love because he was the one who made this trip possible. A thousand thanks to him and will probably more trips to come.
